Your facebook wall whether your personal profile or page is your personal or professional space. Just as you would (hopefully) not hang fliers on someone's front door or retail window without permission it's not cool to do it on Facebook. I have had this happen as well particularly from faith based leaders who assume that I am giving them license to free advertising with my friends. Word of mouth marketing occurs when you allow other people to talk about you. It's much more effective to place your events on your own wall or privately alert me to something you believe will be of interest. Let me choose to share or not share with friends. It is sometimes a bit disappointing to see that this has begun to be a trend. What has to happen is people need to be educated. BUT.. what's even sadder is the fact that there are conferences and classes and peole don't INVEST in themselves or the VISION GIVEN to them....Once they get passed this hump then they'd see a huge difference in their publicaions....
