I love to see people doing what they love! I love to see people who are passionate about their goals and who are clear about what they are called to do.
But you know what I have a disdain for?
I absolutely hate, seeing a person working at something they are clearly not called to do.
Even though they and everyone else around them know, how miserable they are, they keep doing the same thing day after day, year after year, simply because they haven’t been encouraged or equipped to reach higher.
Hmm.
Have you ever been in or seen a situation like that before?
I see this quite often, especially in some places many would least expect it.
Throughout the body of Christ, there appears to be a large segment of people who aren’t mobilized to fulfill the great commission., There’s a large group of believers who are hearing the gospel but aren’t effectively spreading the gospel. There’s a large group of believers who believe that unless they’ve been to seminary or unless they’ve been ordained they’re not qualified or justified to really bring others into the Kingdom.
I mean yes, they can witness to a backslider but what happens when they’re called to witness to a businessman who’s never been to church?
I mean they can witness to a benchwarmer but what happens when the opportunity presents itself to witness to a blues band member? I mean they can pray for the choir member who has cancer but what happens when the homosexual living with AIDS walks by? So many of us fake thefunk and wear the bracelets that say WWJD, what would Jesus Do …but the truth is, when it’s time to act like Jesus would act, we can’t! Because we’re not Living for theKingdom.
Heck if truth be told, many of us don’t even realize what it really means to be found Living for the Kingdom. To be found doing what God has called us to do, at any cost.
But I believe there’s also a group of Believers out there who know what they’ve been called to do, know what it means to be living for the kingdom, but unfortunately they’ve been discouraged from doing what they know God is calling them to do, because it’s not traditional ministry. But I’m here to tell you that once we get the true revelationabout the great commission and about living for the Kingdom, life will never be thesame.
When Jesus gave the great commission to His disciples before he was caught up inthe sky each one of them interpreted it a different way. I mean just check out Matthew 28:16-20 or Luke 24:36-49 or John 20:19-23 and even Acts 1:6-8. In those passages you’ll find a different account about the event that each of them experienced at thesame time. But despite all the different ways each one of them described what Jesus said, how he said it and what he told them to do … in the midst of it all there are some similarities that can’t be overlooked.
The basic premise or Kingdom Mandate is “Go preach the gospel to any and everyone on earth” Once you preach the gospel, show the folks you preached to how to live as a believer and expect miracles to follow you, just as they followed Jesus. But I want to break it down a bit further like this: Preach the Gospel, Live the Gospel and expect Manifestation. Preach the Gospel, Live theGospel and expect Manifestation.
Let’s look at Mark 16:14 – And he said unto them, Go ye into all the world, and preachthe gospel to every creature. Now remember this is the mandate. And my dictionary tells me that a mandate is an authoritative command or instruction. So that means it’s not an option. But to get an even better understanding of this thing, lets look at theword Kingdom.
I found 2 definitions that I like the most; one is a realm or sphere in which one thing is dominant; the other is, the sphere in which one is king or has control. So since we know God has total control of this world, since He is the creator of all things, He is basically the King of Kings. And since we are his children, a royal priesthood, we are heirs to his Kingdom. In other words we are Kings. We just have to figure out which sphere here on earth we have control in so that we can operate in the full mandate our King has told us to operate in. Clearly when Jesus said go into all the world or even as Matthew put it …into all the nations, Jesus meant ALL and EVERYBODY.
My dictionary says it a few different ways: Being or representing the entire or total number, amount, or quantity THEN it also says: Constituting, being, or representing thetotal extent or the whole. And last but not least, being the utmost possible!
Unfortunately many of us saved folks either don’t understand what the word all means or we simply choose to ignore the mandate.
So many of us are satisfied ministering inside the church building but are scared to minister outside in the street or in the marketplace. We’re satisfied with evangelizing to someone who looks like us, but are too racist to minister to someone of another ethnicity. We’re satisfied with inviting our cousin to church but can’t gather up enough courage to invite our co-workers. We’re satisfied with ministry in our comfort zones but can’t seem to fathom ministry inthe marketplace.
But, I’m here to tell you that until we recognize marketplace ministry as part of God’s plan, we’ll never be able to effectively live for the Kingdom. As soon as more of us start ministering in the marketplace in our God-ordained sphere of influence, then we’ll start truly reaching ALL of the world.
For some of us, our sphere of influence is in Business, for others it’s Education, for others it’s Entertainment and for some it’s even Government. I mean just think of it like this, how can the wealth of the wicked get transferred to the saints if we don’t have saints mobilized and operating in every sphere that exists on planet earth?

It’s amazing to me that May 2011 is already here. Mother’s Day is around the corner and my little sister is preparing to receive her Graduate Degree after 1 year of INTENSE study. Whew! Things in the spirit and the natural seem to be accelerated! It’s definitely a season to fasten your belts and hold on.Last night we had quite a few dial in for Open Prayer Line, sponsored by my personal ministry and GICMP. Rock Hard Lessons, Soft Landings
On Saturday I climbed a rock climbing wall. No big goal in mind, I just wanted to try it as I’d never done it before. Harnessed in, I ascended to the top with relative ease. There were a few slippery moments and hesitation as I got higher, but overall it was not as tough as I imagined. Once I’d scaled the wall I looked down to see how far I had come. I then yelled to my brother and nephew, “how do I get down?” Yes this is my typical ‘jump into the deep end of the pool and figure it out later’ mode. After laughing at my befuddled expression, my nephew told me to let go and rappel down. Now I must tell you going up, relying on my own strength and will was easy but letting go and trusting that this harness thing would get me safely to the ground was the scary part.
As I reflected on the day, (which by the way was great fun complete with go-carts and arcade games), I realized that like many of you I tend to be pretty comfortable when I’m in control but not so much when forced to let go. Yet, let go I did and I landed without a scratch.
We hear so much about what it takes to get to the top.
Experts and gurus talk about strategies, tactics, mindset and all of the things you need to keep your grip while scaling to the top. And yes, getting to the top is often hard work. Yet, I learned that once you get there or even halfway there, it is important to take a moment and enjoy how far you’ve come. Don’t miss the celebration of grace that got you to where you are even if you’re only a few feet off the ground. I also learned that there are times when you must let go in order to reach your destination. It is scary and humbling but also an amazing lesson in what it means to have faith. There is indeed freedom in learning to trust that it does not all have to depend on you.
How often have we gutted out a project, task or a new business venture refusing to ask for help? I see entrepreneurs make the mistake all the time of being so in love with the climb and their mission to the top that they cannot see when it’s truly time to let go.
It takes wisdom to know when to fight your way up, and faith to know when it’s time to let go and ease to the next stop.
As you go forward in your week, I wish you a healthy balance of wisdom and faith.

How Frequently Should You Email Your List, Blog, Tweet, or Update Your Facebook Page?

I think we all can admit this is a GOOD question that seems to plague many of our minds every now and then.
Especially when you operate a Marketplace Ministry or you lead the Media Ministry at church and don’t want to feel like you’re BOMBARDING your congregants and valuable supporters with information they don’t NEED or want.
Interesting enough though, over the years, as I’ve really studied, practiced and re-evaluated what seems to work and NOT work for those who support both my personal prophetic outreach ministry and my marketplace ministry, I’ve noticed the same things that Marketing Strategist Donna Gunter noticed as well.
That’s why I decided to repost her article on my blog and send out to my list of FAITH-BASED leaders who get weekly emails from me.

What are the best days to send my email newsletter? How many times a week should I blog? How many Twitter updates are too many Twitter updates? Should I repost a status update? These are questions I hear all the time from clients. Until recently, I didn’t have any documentation about what worked best, only anecdotal evidence from my own experience.However, recently I attended a great webinar sponsored by HubSpot, in which their Social Media Scientist, Dan Zarrella, dispelled many of the myths and inconsistencies about these very questions and set the record straight based on his research.
Here’s are the 10 best takeaways I discovered:
1. Don’t be afraid to be the expert. In order to give others a reason to follow you, you need to call yourself an expert on all of your social networking profiles so that people know why they should follow you. Following a “father of 3, nature lover, amateur photographer” just doesn’t give anyone anything to remember about you that is distinct.
2. Tweet more for more followers. That was one of the greatest surprises — if you want to amass more followers quickly, Tweet more. The more you Tweet, like 20-25 times per day, the more people will follow you. I haven’t hit that number of daily Tweets, but I have noticed a slew of new followers when I send out 5-10 Tweets per day. Many of these Tweets are just sharing articles and blog posts that I have read.
3. Later on Twitter is better. Twitter activity is the highest between 2-5 PM EST, and clickthrough rates for links posted on Twitter are the highest on Saturday and Sunday. So, if you are trying to drive traffic to your site rather than add followers, post later in the day and on weekends.
4. Less is more on Facebook. Pages that post every other day tend to have the most likes. In Facebook, unlike Twitter, it’s easy to flood your friend’s status streams. Facebook sharing spikes on the weekend, probably due to the fact that many employers block Facebook access at work. And, the best time to post on Facebook is at night or early morning hours (1-3 AM EST).
5. Email open rates and clickthrough rates are higher on the weekend. Because people don’t have much time to really read emails during the week, they tend to do it on the weekend, especially between 5-7 AM EST. Of course, that results in a higher abuse reporting and spam reporting of emails, since recipients are paying more attention to emails then. So, don’t be afraid to email on the weekend, particularly early in the morning hours.
6. Don’t be afraid to send out multiple emails each week. Once you get to 4 emails per month, sending more emails doesn’t result in a loss of clickthrough rate or a greater number of unsubscribes. If you’re already emailing your list once a week and you send out valuable content when you email, you might as well send a couple of times per week. Greater unsubscribe rates makes business owners afraid to email more frequently, but the truth is that if the person is going to unsubscribe because he doesn’t like what you’re sending, he just wasn’t interested in what you had to say anyway. The greatest amount of unsubscribes happen when you email your list only 1-2 times per month.
7. Your newest subscribers are your best subscribers. When someone first subscribes to your list is when they pay the most attention to your email, which also means that their unsubscribe rate is the highest in the first few days after subscribing. The newer the subscriber is to you list, the more they read your emails and click on your links. Therefore, it’s best to hit new subscribers immediately with your special offers or trials.
8. It pays to know who is reading your blog. Forty percent of people read blogs at night, especially men. Women are more likely to read blogs early in the morning. Blog posts made between 10-11 AM EST get the most views, but comments tend to spike on Saturday and Sunday. So, blog on the weekend early in the morning if you’re seeking comments.
9. More blogging is better. Blogs that publish more than once a day tend to have more views. Plus, by doing this, you’ll be ahead of just about everyone in your industry. The more frequent your blog posts, the better your visibility. Again, the same rule holds true here and with everything else discussed — your posts need to contain valuable content that is relevant to your audience.
10. Track, measure, and test. You’re in business to make money and pay your bills, so it pays to know what activities are leading to the money. You need to measure where your money is coming from and what sources of traffic are buying from you.
Take Action Strategy
Regardless of whether you market B2C (business to consumer) or B2B (Business to Business), there is little distinction in how consumers versus business owners respond — both are faced with the same kinds of time crunch and tend to respond to social networking, blogging, and email marketing in very similar ways. Remember, you need to try out these strategies for yourself and determine if you have the same results in your own marketing, as your mileage may vary.

The Prophetic Voice Hits Radio Airwaves on Saturday.

Just wanted to send out a quick note before I retire for the night. I made it safely to Phoenix! Lot’s happening for me tomorrow! My new radio broadcast The Prophetic Voice starts it’s run Saturday in Pensacola on WVTJ at 4:45pm, then on Sunday in Kansas City on KCNW at 5:00pm, Monday in Omaha on KLNG at 1:30pm ,and then Wednesday in Mobile on WIJD at 3:30pm. I’m really grateful for this opportunity and look forward to sharing prophetic preaching, teaching and conversations with all.
I’m very excited about ministering at Madam Millionaire, a Marketplace Ministry Conference, hosted by Attorney, Apostle Pam Archibald. As a way to culminate Black History Month we are celebrating the achievements of Madam C.J. Walker, and African American who is America’s first female millionaire. There are many marketplace lessons and principles we as Kingdom Entrepreneurs can learn from her and implement, even now, as women. I think it’s nothing but KAIROS timing that on today, USA Today published an Op Ed piece from Julianne Malveaux on just how much Black women have paved economic inroads.
I’m sure there will be great activation, impartation and revelation from on High!

Madam Millionaire Conference is next weekend in Phoenix

So it’s Thursday evening and I’m trying to figure out how I STILL have this lingering “cold” I hesitate to call it a cold though, because I thought I pushed through the worse of it last week, while in D.C. Marketplace Ministry At It’s Best

Happy New Year!
One of the great things about being a Consultant and particulary one who specializes in Equipping those in Ministry, is I get to interact with a vast array of organizations and leaders. One of those Marketplace Ministries that is truly capturing the essence of Ministry In the Marketplace is LSR Enterprises.
It’s founder, Lorelle Strong Rich and I go back several years when we first met while I was a TV news person at the CBS Affiliate in Nashville and she was the Church Administrator at Mt. Zion Nashville (Bishop Joseph W. Walker III)
Years ago back in 2000, my company submitted (LSR MINISTRIES) the first ministry site we ever produced into an International Competition and actually WON the award for Non-Profit Category.
Now, LSR MINISTRIES has transformed into LSR Enterprises and I’m happy to have helped launch the new dimension of the Ministry. Every week in 2011, I will highlight a ministry I believe is making great strides towards Kingdom Advancement.
This week, I salute LSR Enterprises and Founder, Lorelle Strong Rich.
How did LSR come to life?
LSR was birthed from a desire within to empower women to maximize the fullness of their potential. I knew in my heart that since God opened the door for me to be the 1st woman to be ordained in a Historical Baptist Church (Mt. Zion Baptist Church Baptist- Bishop Joseph Walker III, Senior Pastor) at a young age that there had to be an obvious assignment on my life to empower women to step beyond the limitations and break through barriers spiritually, financially and mentally for the Kingdom of God.
As this process continued I noticed men of God that were tapping into the anointing so I knew then the time had to come to broaden my vision for men also. The steps to giving birth to this vision was a journey of stretching and trusting and through the assistance of the Holy Spirit and even a special person we all know Dwann ,who just happened to live right by me in Nashville, TN and she made it her KINGDOM business to assist me in birthing forth my first website, as well as assisted me with my first book.
These steps assisted in the maturing of the vision and then through the years of receiving teaching impartations of the prophetic and Spiritual warfare and Marketplace Ministry from mentors like Apostle Kimberly Daniels and Dr. Cindy Trimm and others who have seasoned the anointing upon my life which has allowed me train and activate Kingdom wealth and expansion in the lives of those that have been connected to the vision of LSR.
What type of people does LSR hope to serve?
LSR hopes to serve women and men who have a vision within and are in need of Kingdom keys and prophetic activation to stir forth the dream, business or ministry gifting and who are tired of being ordinary, but ready to tap into the extraordinary. It is also for women who are in ministry leadership and in need of mentorship or a Spiritual covering.
What exciting ventures do you have planned for 2011?
LSR Dance/Etiquette Center : New headquarters with a partnership of the Dream Center in Nashville, TN.
LSR Women In Business International: The mainstream focus is to allow women to take their dream to another level through Kingdom connections and through empowerment teleconferences and summits.
LSR Empowerment International Institute : Offering webinar and teleconference teachings on 5-fold Ministry Training; MarketPlace Ministry; Prophetic Training and MORE- 1st Class Begins on January 17, 2010.
LSR Eagle Training and Mentorship is launching forth January 15, 2010 (this is for ministry leaders and those who want more training on marketplace ministry)
Maximized Woman Armed and Dangerous Tour is taking taking off January 28, 2011 in Illinois. In 2011 we will be traveling to the Bahamas, and we are tapping into new doors for a Crusade in Ghana, Africa.
If there is (1) thing you think most people DON’T know about you what is that?
That I had originally planned to be a Entertainment Lawyer and was in route to apply to Law School before my call to ministry and Vanderbilt Divinity school sent me a letter with a partial scholarship and I had not even applied.
What’s your number 1 FOCUS this quarter?
LSR’s main focus is to stir forth Fresh Kingdom Maximized Momentum in the hearts of Gods people, activating new momentum in the Marketplace and in the tabernacle to expand fresh revelation of wealth and Kingdom empowerment. We want individuals to recognize the seed of greatness within.
